The TrackDRIVE TD 200 system used for data acquisition in the 'Balance of Plant' (BOP) and 'Steam Generator' (SG) market segments, is an automated probe puller - pusher system, with a wide speed range. The TD-200 is driven by two electrical motors, one drives the probe, and the other is a torque motor that supplies tension. The unit can be split into three pieces for easier transport !
Most Eddy Current equipment have a static input gain, which remains constant during a given probe pull or test purpose. The dynamic gain concept utilized in the OMNI 200 allows the system to adjust the input gain on a per sample basis. This ensures that small flaw signals which are of interest are scaled to maximize their resolution (atleast, 6 times more than static gain testers) and at the same time, larger signals such as from the tube end do not get saturated at all !
In a typical bobbin inspection, absolute channels essentially require a reference probe similar to the inspection probe. The respective signal inputs from the reference probe and the actual inspection probe are subtracted to obtain a null signal position. In practice, the problem is that two probes can never be exactly similar. The Auto Probe Reference feature in the OMNI 200 eliminates this difficulty by the tester itself generating the reference probe input and a second identical probe to provide the high quality absolute reference signal is not necessary anymore !
A range of analysis software's are offered alongwith the OMNI 200 as per testing requirements. The software's have a bundled package pricing option - which means, if bought together with the OMNI 200 tester, they can be bought extremely economically !
