Thick Material Inspection (TMI)

More than skin deep

The TMI (Thick Material Inspection) solution from our principal company M/s Pruftechnik NDT GmbH, Germany is a unique inline solution to inspect weld seams in thick walled Austenitic Stainless Steel tubes. TMI utilizes the Remote Field technique and low frequencies (<3 KHz) and can inspect upto a wall thickness of 12.5 mm. Calibration can be done with internal notches as used in ultrasonic technique and the inside as well as outside can be inspected for process defects.

TMI is a very cost-effective solution, provides instant feedback on production process and can be seen as a substitute to ultrasonic or x-ray technology.
